Meet Renice de Groot

"Hynders" in Friesland means Friends of HorsesI believe that this is the foundation to having the strongest and truest relationship with our equine partners.
Safety first is what I always strive for, both in-hand and under saddle as well as self-confidence in both the horse and riders abilities in themselves as a partnership.
Sharing your home with an animal can be a dream or a nightmare. Making sure your animal is well trained will give both of you more time to enjoy each other’s company.
My modern training system with the touch of natural horsemanship is full of fun techniques that will give you and your horse a happier life together.
Hynders Horsemanship was founded in 2015 in South Africa and the Appaloosa Stud in 2022, and has developed a very special reputation with my clientele and their horses in Gauteng and in the Northern Cape.
I believe that being firm and having a clear set of boundaries is one thing, but being fierce is just not necessary! I don’t believe in bullying a horse into submission, or that using aggression is the only way to teach an animal discipline. Horse, and many other animals, are social animals, who enjoy love and family life.
Let’s get them out of the stable, give them more positive re-enforcement, and turn them into another family member.
From Rescue horses, young horses, rehab cases and even giving a helping hand to retired seniors who still want to work but cant be ridden my I use Natural Horsemanship Techniques with a Modern twist to aid in forming an unbreakable partnership between horse and riders as well as ensuring the horses minds are engaged and learning.
Training horse are always welcome for the full immersive experience, but I do travel country wide if necessary for clinics and workshops. I also specialize in retraining OTTBs and Appaloosas for Western Performance using Natural Horsemanship Techniques.
I am a Natural Horsemanship Practitioner, busy getting my Parelli Horsemanship Level 3 & 4
